The Radio Dept. is a very versatile band. While the core of their sound, a warm electronic fuzz and wistful vocals, remains the same, they are able to swing the overall sound of their music in many different directions. Some songs are catchy and upbeat while others are methodical. Every song is good in its own way.

The Naked and Famous
Carefree and rebellious pop songs are what this band does best. Pumping beats, grinding synth, and distorted guitars all combine with complicated melodies and interesting lyrics to make one of the best indie pop albums I've heard in awhile. Its all very layered and manufactured, but in a good way.

Safetysuit
Safetysuit is the definition of arena rock. Dueling guitars echo and jam in the background as the lead singer's vocals spiral along with the melody. The music isn't really groundbreaking, but it doesn't have to be when its so enjoyable.
